Who is behind Annoland?
This unofficial fan website for Anno 117 is a small side project of mine, Phil ‘Vitabro’, the developer of the Diablo 4 & Path of Exile 2 guide website www.vitablo.de – and my colleague Vitablo, the German YouTuber, Twitch streamer & Diablo 4 guide author. Together, we successfully launched the Vitablo project in June 2023 back when Diablo 4 releases. With the launch of Anno 117: Pax Romana, we are now tackling a new game.
The Anno series has always been one of my absolute favourite games. What could be better than spending a cosy evening colonising new islands, expanding your cities, tinkering with supply chains and decorating every corner of your empire with ornaments? For me, Anno is pure relaxation. You won't find any computer opponents or pirates in my sessions. Efficient construction and perfectly coordinated production chains are topics I rarely give much thought to. I'm happy as long as the balance sheet is reasonably positive at the end. The less stress I have, the more fun I have playing the game.
The purpose of this page
Annoland is a one-man hobby project that grew out of my passion for the Anno series. It is not a comprehensive Anno wiki, as I don't have the time for that. On this site, I mainly want to write and collect guides, tips and tools for Anno 117. I create each post with the aim of using it myself later and referring back to it again and again.
Of course, I am always happy to receive suggestions and ideas for improvement. If you think something is missing from the site – important guides, cool building layouts, useful tools, etc. – please let me know.
