With this tool, you can plan, save, and share your Anno 117 skilltree and the exact order of your discoveries. The skilltree is one of the major new mechanics in Anno 117 and is essential for the success of your realm. It allows you to unlock important bonuses for your production buildings, residents, and military units.
How does the Anno 117 skilltree work?
The research tree will be unlocked once you have built a Grammaticus (Latium) or a Fanum (Albion) . To do this, you need to house Plebeians (Latium) or Smiths/Mercators (Albion).
Then select a discovery to begin research. The more Knowledge you have, the quicker the research progress. In my Increasing Attributes Guide you can see all goods, buildings and specialists, that increase your Knowledge. Once a Discovery is made, adjacent Discoveries will also become researchable.
Individual Discoveries can also be locked by special conditions. , indicated by the lock icon. Hover over them to find out how to unlock them. You can also queue multiple Discoveries, so that they automatically start one after the other.
Inspiration Nodes
Deeper into the Research tree, Inspiration Nodes need to be unlocked in order to progress. Hover over an Inspiration Node to find out what unlocks it.
The Knowledge Attribute
You need a certain amount of Knowledgein order to unlock most Inspiration Nodes. Moreover, the research speed of all Discoveries depends on the amount of global Knowledge.
