Anno 117 Calculator for Efficient Supply Chains
As in previous Anno games, the buildings in Anno 117: Pax Romana have different processing timesEspecially with more complex supply chains, it can quickly become tedious to constantly calculate how many buildings you need to keep the supply chain running efficiently.
With this calculator, you can immediately see the optimal number of buildings for all production chains. In addition, the Productivity of each building can be adjusted manually so that you can adapt the chain to your requirements (e.g., aqueduct, religion bonuses or specialists). And if you only need a certain number of a specific building type, you can easily input your desired amount and immediately receive the optimal configuration for all other buildings in the supply chain.
How does this goods calculator work?

The optimal basic configuration
Our goal is for all buildings in a supply chain to operate at 100% productivity. The Concrete chain shown here consists of three buildings with different processing times (Quartz Sand 0:45, Limestone 0:30, Concrete 1:30). To ensure that all buildings are fully utilized and running at 100% productivity, you need 3 Sand Refineries, 2 Limestone Quarries, and 6 Concrete Mixers.

Adjust productivity manually
Many factors can improve the productivity of a building. For example, if your Concrete Mixers are running at 200% capacity thanks to a specialist, you can simply enter this yourself and the supply chain will be adjusted accordingly. In our case, the processing time is halved and instead of 6, we only need 3 Concrete Mixers.

Determine the number of buildings yourself
If, for example, you only need 3 Concrete Mixers, you can do it yourself and reduce the number manually. The other buildings will then be adjusted accordingly. In such cases, you will often see decimal values displayed for some buildings. In our example, you need 1.5 Sand Refineries (i.e. 2) to fully utilize your 3 Concrete Mixers.
Additional information
Once you have entered your own value for the amount or productivity of a building, a reset button will appear in the top right-hand corner of the calculator, which you can use to reset the supply chain to its default values.
If the optimal start configuration requires more than 20 units of one building for the whole chain to run at 100% productivity, the building with the shortest processing time is set to 1 instead, and the number of other buildings is adjusted accordingly (decimal numbers).
Note: This goods calculator is tailored to my needs and play style in terms of its range of functions. Of course, it could be made much more complex and expanded with additional features.
